TISSUES
1.Stationary: Plants are generally stationary and do not move from place to place.
2.Supportive Tissue: Plants have a significant amount of supportive tissue to remain upright. This tissue often consists of dead cells, which provide structural support without the need for energy.
3.Growth Patterns: Plant growth is limited to certain regions where specific tissues, called meristematic tissues, actively divide. These tissues are located in regions like the tips of roots and shoots. Once cells have divided and differentiated, they become part of permanent tissue, which does not divide.
1.Mobility: Animals are mobile, moving around in search of food, mates, and shelter.
2.Energy Consumption: Due to their mobility, animals require more energy compared to plants. Hence, most animal tissues are composed of living cells that are metabolically active.
