WORKING OF INSTITUTIONS
A government order, often abbreviated as GO, is an official directive or instruction issued by a government authority to agencies, departments, or individuals within its jurisdiction. It provides a legal framework for the implementation of a policy, program, or action. Government orders are used to formalise decisions, ranging from administrative details and public policy changes to legislative matters.
1.Executive Orders: Issued by the head of the executive branch (like a President or Prime Minister), these orders often relate to the operations of the government itself or stipulate actions to be taken in specific situations.
2.Administrative Orders: Issued by heads of agencies or departments, these orders deal with the internal operations of those specific divisions.
3.Legal Orders: Sometimes, orders are issued in compliance with judicial decisions to ensure the implementation of the court’s rulings.
4.Emergency Orders: These are issued in exceptional circumstances, such as natural disasters, public health emergencies, or national security threats, to expedite action.
5.Regulatory Orders: These are issued to implement or clarify laws passed by the legislative body. They lay out the specifics of how the laws are to be applied and enforced.
