CLIMATE
Weather: Refers to atmospheric conditions in a specific area at a specific point in time. It’s short-term and can fluctuate multiple times a day.
Climate: Encompasses weather conditions over a large area for an extended period (more than 30 years). It offers a long-term view of atmospheric conditions.
Both weather and climate consist of similar elements: temperature, atmospheric pressure, wind, humidity, and precipitation.
The generalised monthly atmospheric conditions divide the year into various seasons like winter, summer, and rainy season. These seasonal patterns offer some consistency over weeks or months.
1.Monsoon Origin: The word is derived from the Arabic word mausim, meaning season. Monsoon refers to a seasonal reversal in wind direction.
