Definition

Vibration refers to the rapid back-and-forth movement of an object. Vibrations can occur in solids, liquids, and gases and are responsible for producing sound.

Characteristics

Vibrations create sound waves, which travel through various media (such as air, water, or solids) to reach our ears.
