TRANSPORTATION IN ANIMALS AND PLANTS
1.Transport: Blood flows through blood vessels and transports substances such as digested food from the small intestine to various parts of the body. It carries oxygen from the lungs to body cells and transports waste materials for removal.
2.Composition: Blood consists of different types of cells suspended in a fluid called plasma.
Haemoglobin: RBCs contain a red pigment called haemoglobin, which binds with oxygen and transports it throughout the body, giving blood its red colour.
