SORTING MATERIALS INTO GROUPS
We encounter a wide variety of objects in our daily lives, each with different shapes, colours, and uses. Let's explore some of these objects and the properties of the materials they are made from.
Objects can be grouped based on various criteria, such as shape or the materials they are made from. For example:
1.Round Objects: Rubber ball, football, glass marble, apples, oranges, earthen pitcher (gharha).
2.Plastic Objects: Buckets, lunch boxes, toys, water containers, pipes.
Materials can look different from each other. For example, wood looks different from iron, and iron appears different from copper or aluminium. However, iron, copper, and aluminium share some similarities, like their metallic lustre. Metals such as iron, copper, aluminium, and gold have a shiny appearance, known as lustre. However, this shine can become dull over time due to exposure to air and moisture.
