The ‘Vedas’, with a particular focus on the ‘Rigveda’, hold an esteemed place in ancient literature.
The Vedas consist of four primary texts — the Rigveda,Samaveda,Yajurveda, and Atharvaveda.
Among these, the Rigveda stands as the oldest, having been composed around 3500 years ago.
The Rigveda encompasses over a thousand hymns, referred to as sukta or “well-said”. These hymns predominantly praise various deities. The three paramount gods in the Rigveda are:
1.Agni: The god of fire.
2.Indra: Recognised as a warrior god.
