Latitudinal Extent

1.Northernmost Latitude: The northernmost point of India is in the region of Jammu and Kashmir (Indo-China border), roughly at 37°6′ N latitude.

2.Southernmost Latitude: India’s mainland extends up to Kanyakumari, approximately at 8°4′ N latitude. However, the southern boundary further extends up to 6°45' N latitude in the Bay of Bengal.

Longitudinal Extent

1.Easternmost Longitude: The easternmost point lies in Arunachal Pradesh, roughly around 97°25′ E longitude.

2.Westernmost Longitude: The westernmost point is in Gujarat, around 68°7′ E longitude.
