CLIMATE
India’s climate is often described as a monsoonal type, implying a system of alternating wet and dry seasons governed mainly by the monsoon winds. This climate also shares characteristics with other regions of Southeast Asia. However, within this general framework, India demonstrates an incredible diversity in climatic conditions.
Weather
Weather is the current condition of the atmosphere at a specific place and time. It includes things like temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed, and cloudiness.
Weather can change very quickly — within minutes, hours, or days.
When you check the forecast to see if it will rain today or if you need a jacket for the evening, you’re looking at the weather.
Climate
Climate, on the other hand, is the average of these weather conditions over a longer period of time, usually years or decades.
Climate gives you a general idea of what the weather is typically like in a certain area. For example, a tropical climate is generally hot and humid, while a desert climate is dry and arid.
