Zahir ud Din Muhammad Babur, the founder of the Mughal Empire in India, has a storied history that is integral to understanding the establishment of this significant dynasty.
1.Birth and Lineage: Born on February 14, 1483, in Farghana, Babur hailed from a prestigious lineage. He was a direct descendant of Timur, the Turkic conqueror who invaded India in 1398. Through his mother, Babur was connected to another Mongol conqueror, Chingiz Khan.
2.Inheritance: At the tender age of eleven, Babur inherited the small principality of Farghana from his father. This early responsibility came with its own set of challenges but also prepared him for future conquests.
