NORTHERN DYNASTIES OF MEDIEVAL INDIA (800–1200 AD)
After the decline of Harsha's empire in the 7th century, India saw the rise of multiple large states across different regions:
1.North India
2.The Deccan
3.South India
Unlike the Gupta and Harsha’s empires, no single kingdom in North India could unify the entire Ganga Valley.
The Ganga Valley, with its dense population and resources, was crucial for the expansion and control over Gujarat, known for its prosperous seaports and trade.
