Key Components

1.Garbhagriha (Sanctum Sanctorum)

Description: Initially a small cube-like space, it evolved into a larger chamber designed to house the temple's main deity.

Significance: Serves as the core of the temple where the primary idol is placed and where most sacred rituals are performed.

2.Mandapa (Entrance Hall)

Function: Acts as a congregational space that can accommodate a large number of devotees.

Design: Often elaborated into a portico or colonnaded hall that leads to the sanctum.

3.Shikhar and Vimana (Spire and Tower)
