It encompasses efforts to counteract threats that arise from within a country, including terrorism, insurgency, communal violence, organized crime, and cyber threats.

Scope

The scope of internal security is broad and multifaceted, addressing various domains that impact a nation's peace and stability:

1.Political Security: Ensuring the stability of the government and its institutions, safeguarding democratic processes, and preventing political violence.

2.Economic Security: Protecting the economy from internal threats such as financial fraud, counterfeit currency, and economic espionage.
