The Saubhagya Scheme (2017) electrified over 28 million households, achieving near-universal access.

Rural electrification reached 99.99% of villages by 2019, ensuring affordable connections under schemes like Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY).

2.Renewable Energy Expansion

India’s renewable energy capacity grew to 174 GW (2023), with a target of 500 GW by 2030.
